The Institute of Water Policy in the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore is seeking an applied econometrician with experience in research design and analytical methods pertaining to large-scale surveys or large data sets. We are particularly interested in post-doctoral and early-career professionals. We welcome also mid-career scholars with notable experience and good publication records. Research training and experience can pertain to surveys or data sets involving households, communities, countries, or industry.
Much of the Institute's work pertains to policy issues regarding water resources in urban areas of Asia and Africa. Thus, experience with water policy issues is desirable, but not essential. The successful candidate will conduct independent research and also assist colleagues in designing and implementing empirical studies, using state-of-the-art econometric methods.
Candidates should possess a PhD Degree in economics, public policy, public administration or a related discipline. The appointment within the Institute of Water Policy will be as a Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow, depending on qualifications and experience.
