Northern Kentucky University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to coordinate the principles program beginning August 2013. Candidates should hold a PhD in economics and have demonstrated excellence in teaching. Teaching responsibilities include three (principles) courses per semester. The successful candidate will develop a research agenda focused on innovative approaches to teaching economics and associated skills.
Principles courses are integral to our University's general education requirements, College of Business core curriculum, and Economic discipline. The Haile/US Bank College of Business at NKU is accredited by AACSB and SACS. Both require assurance of learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for assurance of learning related to the principles courses.
Review of applications will begin immediately. Preliminary interviews will be conducted at the ASSA Meeting in San Diego. To be considered for a conference interview, application materials must be received by December 1. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
