The Department of Economics of the Sam M. Walton College of Business seeks to fill a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant or senior assistant professor. Our primary interest is in candidates with strong applied microeconometric and/or experimental economics skills, including the ability to teach these topics at the graduate level. The Department anticipates hiring 4-5 people over the next few years including this position. We are particularly interested in individual's who can contribute to the Walton College's strategic thrusts in the areas of retail and consumer insights and international/globalization. Thus we seek candidates with research interests in industrial organization, market structure and pricing, behavioral economics, international trade, or development to enhance the Department's existing strength in these areas. A member of the Department directs the Walton College's 6500 square foot multidisciplinary Behavioral Business Research Lab and the College's technical staff provide hardware and software support for applied econometrics research. Responsibilities include high quality research, graduate and undergraduate instruction, and a commitment to fostering the development of Departmental and College level goals. The significant financial resources of the Walton College provide generous support for achieving these goals.

A Ph.D. in economics is required.
