The Economics Discipline Group at the University of Technology Sydney is seeking to make appointments at the level of Lecturer (Assistant Professor) or Senior Lecturer. Applicants for Lecturer positions must have a PhD completed or near completion and should demonstrate strong research abilities and a commitment to teaching. Applicants to the Senior Lecturer positions should have a number of years of scholarly research and teaching.
Successful applicants will be expected to teach in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs, supervise postgraduate research, and develop an independent research program. We invite applicants from all areas of applied and theoretical microeconomics with particular interest in industrial organization and development economics, however, candidates from all areas of economics will be considered.
UTS Economics has associated research centers (see http://www.censoc.uts.edu.au and http://www.chere.uts.edu.au). In the recent Excellence in Research evaluation undertaken by the Australian Research Council in 2010, UTS was one of only two Australian universities to be awarded the top rating in the field of Applied Economics (http://www.arc.gov.au/era/outcomes_2010/FoR/SBE1402).
