NBER's Fellowship Program in Disability Insurance Research offers support for outstanding economists to visit our Cambridge office for one or two years of intensive research in aging and health. Fellows are free of all teaching and other university responsibilities.
Fellows receive a yearly stipend of $60,000 - $74,000 (depending on years of experience and available funds) as well as office space, use of the Bureau's computer facilities, and funds for research expenses.
Eligibility
Applications are being accepted for 2013-2014.* Applicants must have completed a PhD before they begin the program, and must be US Citizens or lawfully admitted for permanent residence at start of the fellowship.
NBER encourages applications from individuals from under-represented racial and ethnic groups; individuals with disabilities; and/or individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.
