Assistant Professor of Economics, Department of Economics and Finance, Murray State University. Full time, tenure track position to begin August 2013.

The Department of Economics and Finance at Murray State University anticipates having a tenure track opening at the rank of assistant professor beginning August 2013. All fields are welcome to apply, but we have particular interest in candidates in financial economics or regional economics. The ideal candidate should be able to teach undergraduate and Master's level courses in their fields of interest, as well as Principles of Economics. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop elective courses in their areas of interest.

The successful candidate must have a documented plan for completing the Ph.D. prior to August of 2013.

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to teaching and research excellence. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide service to the University and outside stakeholders. The typical course load would be three courses per semester and may include web or interactive TV instruction.
