The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be a generalist who will teach introductory and upper-division coursework leading to a B.A. degree, and will team-teach in USAO's Interdisciplinary Core Curriculum.
Candidates must have a strong interest in undergraduate teaching, academic advising, supervision of undergraduate research, and university service. Scholarly activity, broadly defined, is expected. Doctorate in Economics preferred (Ph.D. required for rank and tenure consideration); ABD will be considered. Applications from all economic traditions are welcomed. A record of successful teaching in higher education is desired along with a record of scholarship; evidence of potential for scholarly productivity is required. Individuals with an understanding of and commitment to interdisciplinary, liberal arts education will be given the most careful consideration.
