The Department of Economics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or tenured Associate Professor of Economics. The position will commence as early as August 2013, but shall remain open until filled. The department seeks candidates in applied microeconomics, and especially welcomes interest from scholars of the economics of innovation and technological change.
The successful candidate will have an outstanding academic track record. Candidates at any rank must have earned a Ph.D. or foreign degree equivalent in Economics or a closely related discipline. All degree requirements must be complete at the time of appointment. The recipient of the position will carry out a sustained program of high-quality research and publication, teach graduate and undergraduate courses, and serve Rensselaer's communities in School and Institute activities.
