The Economic Analyst is responsible for leading activities associated with the AMA's Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC) and providing support (i.e., researching, monitoring, and analyzing) to Medicare regulation as it relates to new payment models.
Duties include developing and administering RUC surveys, interpreting data collected, working closely with the ACR physicians, and tracking code issues in the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule. In addition, researching, monitoring, and analyzing Medicare appropriate regulatory and reimbursement issues and drafting summaries and comment letters.
Qualified candidates will have at least five years economics/health policy experience; a Master's degree in Economics or Health Policy preferred, and must be proficient with Microsoft Office, excellent written and verbal communication skills and critical thinking and analytical skills.
