Penn State Great Valley invites applications for a non-tenure-track position in finance/economics for its innovative AACSB-accredited M.B.A. program and Master of Finance program. The position is for one-year, with opportunity for renewal. Part of The Pennsylvania State University, The Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies ( is located 25 miles northwest of downtown Philadelphia. The nation's first research university facility permanently housed in a corporate park, PSGV stands among world-class corporate neighbors. It was created to accommodate the busy schedules of full-time professionals and other adults advancing or changing their careers and emphasizes the link between academic theory and professional practice. The surrounding region offers an exceptionally rich cultural life and the natural beauty of Chester County, Pennsylvania.

While this position is primarily focused on teaching, evidence of prior and ongoing research is expected. Faculty members also advise students and fulfill program, campus, and University service assignments. Candidates must hold an earned doctorate in economics or finance from an AACSB-accredited institution. The ideal candidate should be able to teach Portfolio Management, International Finance, Financial Derivatives, and Microeconomics (Prices and Markets). Ability to teach effectively in an online environment is required. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching six-courses per academic year.

The position will be available for the fall 2013 semester. Starting September 2012, applications will be reviewed until the position has been filled. Interviews will be conducted at the FMA and possibly ASSA Conferences.
