This is a 12-month,tenure-accruing position at the rank of Associate Professor which is 60% Research and 40% Teaching (College of Agriculture & Life Sciences) in the Food and Resource Economics Department, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, University of Florida. Tenure will accrue in the Food and Resource Economics Department. As with all faculty appointments with tenure, any employment offer is contingent upon approval by the UF Board of Trustees. Duties include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses and developing a research program in the area of agribusiness economics. The faculty member will actively participate in graduate education by chairing graduate committees, serving on graduate committees, supervising thesis and dissertation research, and publishing the results with their graduate students. The faculty member will seek contract and grant funding actively to support his/her program area.

Applicants should possess excellent quantitative and communication skills, and the motivation to work in multidisciplinary teams. Concurrently, the successful candidate will engage in scholarly activities related to instruction, including teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, participating in curriculum revision and enhancement, seeking funding for the teaching program, supervising undergraduate and graduate research and creative work, publishing teaching-related scholarship, producing learning tools, and engaging in professional development activities related to teaching and advising. Faculty are encouraged to support and participate in the CALS Honors Program, distance education, and international education.
