Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Department of Economics invites applications for one opening at the level of Assistant Professor in the area of macroeconomics, including open-economy macroeconomics. We seek to solidify our core strengths by hiring an economist in the macro area. While preference will be given to candidates that also have overlapping interests with faculty in one of our major fields (namely, econometrics, international economics, labor economics, public economics and urban economics), all strong candidates in the macroeconomics area will be considered.
Candidates are expected to have an outstanding research record relative to rank, along with the capacity to advise Ph.D. students in their research. Successful candidates would also be expected to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in macroeconomics and/or international macroeconomics. We seek candidates who have interdisciplinary interests that complement the broader mission of the Maxwell School and the broader University interests in this area. The school/department seeks candidates whose research, teaching, or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education. The search begins immediately and will remain open until the position is filled.
