Xavier University, an AACSB accredited Jesuit University in the Catholic tradition, invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank in the Department of Economics beginning in the Fall 2013. We welcome applicants with specializations in International Economics, with preference given to those who have a secondary field in Development. Salary will be competitive, and rank will be commensurate with qualifications. Candidates who apply for appointment at the Associate Professor level should provide evidence of teaching excellence and a record of continuous and current scholarship. Faculty members typically teach nine credit hours per semester. They are expected to be excellent teachers, innovative in their approach to teaching in the undergraduate and MBA programs, and active scholars engaging in individual and collaborative research activity leading to publication in quality outlets. Applicants are expected to have completed their PhD prior to the start of the Fall 2013 semester.
