Fellowship in the Policy Impact of Comparative Effectiveness Research
The National Pharmaceutical Council (NPC) in conjunction with The Department of Health Policy at The George Washington University (GWU) School of Public Health and Health Services invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellow to address the policy implications of comparative effectiveness research (CER). The Fellow would be an employee of NPC and would also have an adjunct faculty appointment at the GWU School of Public Health and Health Services. The fellow would be expected to conduct research and produce manuscripts for publications. The fellow will also have the opportunity to audit classes at GW as appropriate. The Fellowship duration is 2 years with a start date of July 1, 2013.
Basic Qualifications: Applicants must have a doctoral degree such as a M.D., Pharm.D., Sc.D., or Ph.D. in health economics or a health related field. Qualifications also include health services research experience and a desire to understand and study the policy impact of CER. Candidates should be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, have completed their doctoral degree no later than June 1, 2013, and be within 5 years of having completed their doctoral degree as of June 1, 2013.

Review of applications will begin on January 14, 2013 and will continue until the position is filled. Applications received by January 14, 2013 will receive priority for interview in Washington DC during the 1st quarter of 2013.
