Subject to budgetary approval, the Department of Economics expects to have a tenure eligible opening at the assistant professor level to begin Fall 2013. We seek a candidate with a field in either Monetary Economics or International Finance and a strong preference for an individual who can teach courses in both. The candidate is expected to have completed a Ph.D. in Economics by September 2013. Candidates are required to have strong potential for quality teaching and strong potential for quality research publications. Candidates should also possess strong communication skills. The current teaching load for a newly appointed assistant professor is two courses per semester. These may be at the undergraduate or master's level. Salary is competitive, commensurate with education and experience. The Department will interview at the 2013 ASSA meetings in San Diego.
