The Economics Program at Purchase College, SUNY invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall 2013, in Macroeconomics and Experimental Economics and secondary fields in International or Cultural Economics, History of Thought, or Finance. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate-student success, general education, and collaboration with colleagues in the arts and the liberal arts. Candidates committed to working in an environment celebrating individuality and diversity preferred. Responsibilities include: teaching Macroeconomics, Experimental, Econometrics, and overseeing year-long Senior Research Projects. Evidence of teaching excellence and scholarship potential is required. Salary $60,000- $63,000 depending on experience.
The Economics Program is moving in an exciting direction in which new faculty will play an integral role. Ph.D. by August 2013 required.
Princeton Review named Purchase College, 25 miles north of New York City, as one of the "Best 376 Colleges, 2012." The campus combines conservatory training in the arts with rigorous majors in the liberal arts and sciences.
