The Center for Primary Care and Outcomes Research (PCOR) in the Department of Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine, invites applications for two tenure-line faculty positions. One position will be at the assistant professor level; the other is open to candidates at the assistant, associate, or full professor level. One position is for a scholar with expertise in health economics; the second position seeks a scholar with expertise in comparative effectiveness, medical decision sciences, cost-effectiveness analysis, or outcomes research. The successful candidate for at least one of the positions will be expected to develop a significant program in evaluating health policy or health interventions in international settings.
PCOR is a multidisciplinary health service research group and is closely affiliated with Stanford's Center for Health Policy (CHP) in the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. Further information about PCOR and CHP can be found at http://healthpolicy.stanford.edu.
Applicants should have a PhD degree, or an MD with PhD-level expertise in a discipline related to health economics or medical decision sciences, such as medical decision analysis, economics, outcomes research or health policy.
The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualification and experience of the successful candidate.
Stanford University is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to increasing the diversity of its faculty. It welcomes nominations and applications from women and members of minority groups, as well as others who would bring additional dimensions to the university's research, teaching and clinical missions.
Positions are open until filled.
