Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) invites candidates with Ph.D. degree (or near completion) in Economics, and/or Management to fill a number of existing vacancies. Candidates are expected to possess strong skills of applied economics. A limited number of positions are also available for candidates with MA degree.

Requirements for all applicants are good command of economic theory, statistical and econometric methods and applications, excellent command of written and spoken English (Arabic or French will be a plus) and the ability to develop and implement practical research projects. The ideal candidate should possess good analytical, negotiation, communication, and advocacy skills. The ability to work collaboratively with others in the department, and across the Centre, is expected. Candidates that have strong qualitative and quantitative skills, an active research agenda, and an interest in policy-relevant empirical research will be preferred. Positions require extensive travel abroad.
