We are currently seeking Research Economists for the Department of Socio-economic Research. This is a great opportunity to be part of a multi-skilled and multicultural research team that is responsible for the interpretation of the main trends and development issues concerning our region today, conducting applied research on development topics, participating in the analysis and design of public policy strategies and presenting them to policy makers in our shareholder countries and the academic community.

We are interested in Economists whose research interests include trade and integration, applied microeconomics, industrial organization, public finance or applied econometrics.

The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Economics, a desire to conduct research of high standards and an interest in development issues. Research Economists in our group are expected to actively participate in the academic communities of their expertise and to seek publication of their research in scholarly journals. Excellent communication skills and strong analytical and quantitative abilities are required. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.

This position will be located at our corporate headquarters in Caracas, Venezuela, with the possibility of future relocation to one our country offices.
