The Department of Economics seeks to fill two tenure track positions, at the rank of assistant professor, subject to budgetary approval. We seek individuals in one or more of the following fields: environmental, behavioral, macro/monetary, labor, and industrial organization. Our primary interest is in candidates with strong experimental and/or econometric skills. A PhD in hand is highly preferable. The faculty member will be required to have an established research agenda and a clear potential for external funding, as appropriate, and potential for scholarship or creative expression to complement and expand existing expertise in the department. The candidate must have the demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
