Bryant University, College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Economics, seeks to fill a tenure-track position in Applied Microeconomics, at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 1, 2013. Outstanding teaching ability and enthusiasm for teaching are essential, as is strong scholarly potential.
We are especially interested in candidates with a focus in
D03 - Behavioral Economics
D04 - Microeconomic Policy: Formulation; Implementation; Evaluation
R - Urban, Rural, Regional, Real Estate and Transportation Economics
The successful candidate must also be proficient in mathematical and quantitative methods and the design of experiments. Candidates will be responsible for teaching undergraduate principles, intermediate Microeconomics with a case study emphasis and upper level Micro courses in the above fields. Assistance with the newly created Center for Global and Regional Economics will be encouraged. The position requires a Ph.D. in economics or evidence that all Ph.D. degree requirements will be completed by Fall 2013. Bryant is committed to faculty development on a strong teacher/scholar model, and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to an ongoing research and publication agenda.
