The Graduate School of Public Policy, a graduate school of the Nazarbayev University invites applications for a full-time position (rank open) in Public Finance. Candidates with expertise in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply: public expenditure analysis; taxation; intergovernmental fiscal relations; financial management; budget analysis.
Candidates should possess a PhD Degree in economics, public policy, public administration or a related discipline. Research interests in Central Asia are desirable but not required. Applicants with a distinguished record of a Bolashak scholarship from Kazakhstan may also be considered for appointments at the GSPP.
Successful applicants who are appointed at the junior level (assistant professor) will have the opportunity to participate in a mentoring program at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, a strategic partner of NU. Applicants for senior level positions (associate, full professor) should demonstrate a record of effective teaching at the university level and a record of sustained scholarship.
