The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time, lecture-track faculty in economics. The appointment will be at the level of Lecturer with the possibility of promotion to Senior Lecturer and Professor of Pedagogy. In exceptional cases for faculty with extensive prior experience, an appointment at the Senior Lecturer level may be possible. The teaching load is competitive with possibilities for course reductions for teaching large classes. Fields are open but must include microeconomics or macroeconomics at the principles and intermediate level. A Ph.D. in Economics and evidence of excellence in teaching are required. Candidates must be flexible and effective pedagogues with an interest in curriculum development. Some interest in research is desirable. Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, and teaching portfolio (including statement of teaching philosophy and numerical teaching evaluations). The review process will begin on December 1, 2012, and promising candidates will be interviewed at the January AEA Meetings in San Diego.
