The Department of Economics invites applications for at least one tenure-track assistant professor position, subject to state funding, beginning in fall 2013. Preferred areas of teaching and research are industrial organization, health economics or institutional economics. A PhD. in economics is required. ABDs will be considered with a definite degree completion date of February 1, 2014. The successful applicant is expected to demonstrate quality teaching ability, and to develop a research program appropriate to the field. The normal teaching load is 9 credit hours per semester. Teaching responsibilities may also include Principles of Economics, and Business Statistics. Salary will be competitive. Initial interviews will be conducted at the AEA meetings in San Diego by prearranged appointment.
