The Department of Economics at Stonehill College invites applications for a tenure track position to begin August 2013. Our greatest interest is in hiring someone with a strong background in Development Economics and/or study of a developing economy, but we will consider outstanding candidates in the other fields listed. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is necessary. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is necessary. Candidates will be expected to teach in their research field and one elective. The ability to teach Economic Statistics is desirable.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. or verifiable expectation of completion by July 2013. Responsibilities include: a 3-3 or 4-2 course teaching load, scholarship and professional activity, and service to the college and community. Faculty development support, including a course release in the first three years, is available.
We will interview candidates at the ASSA Meetings in San Diego.
