Pending approval, the School of Human Resources & Labor Relations at Michigan State University seeks applicants with research and teaching interests in any of the following areas: labor economics from an institutional perspective, the relationship between workplace practices and various stakeholder outcomes; high performance/involvement work systems; alternative dispute resolution. Applicants with well established records of sponsored research and/or records of obtaining grant funding will be preferred. A successful candidate will be expected to seek external funding for his/her research. Applicants who also have international and union-management relations expertise will be viewed favorably. Instructional responsibilities include teaching at the masters, doctor, and undergraduate levels.
This position is an academic-year (nine-month) appointment with a beginning date of August 16, 2013. Applicants must have completed (or expect to complete prior to appointment) a Ph.D. in a relevant field such as employment and labor relations, labor economics, human resources or other related fields and disciplines.
