The Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) Mannheim, Germany, is one of the leading scientific economic research institutes in Europe. The ZEW is a non-profit organization and works in the field of user-related high-level empirical economic research and policy advice. It pursues a microeconomic and microeconometric course of research and is integrated into a close-knit national and international network of universities and research institutes.
To strengthen our team we are seeking to employ
Researchers (Postdocs)
for the following fields of research:
-International Finance and Financial Management (esp. Real Estate Finance, Banking and Financial Intermediation)
-Innovation Economics
-Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Management (e.g. Energy Economics)
-Information and Communication Technologies
-Growth and Business Cycles

-Gaining experience in the acquisition and the management of research projects for third parties
-Support during postdoctoral studies
-Outstanding equipment of working places and access to unique databases
-Support by publishing research findings

Who should apply?
A postdoc is eligible to apply if he/she has
-a PhD degree in economics/business administration or related studies
-a strong interest in applied economic research as well as in economic policy advising
-the ability to work in a team and at the same time the competence to work on his/her own
-a very good knowledge of empirical methods (statistics, econometrics, and/or CGE modelling)
-a command of German (helpful but not obligatory)
