The Canadian Institute for Research on Public Policy and Public Administration (CIRPPPA) at the Universite de Moncton invites applications for a one-year (renewable) Senior Researcher position.
The Senior Researcher's main responsibilities include the conduct of empirical, cost-benefit economic impacts studies and/or in-depth case studies in the following policy areas: energy, natural resources, industrial and regional development, economic growth. The candidate will also have project management and business development responsibilities such as writing research proposals, managing project budgets and overseeing the preparation and realisation of multidisciplinary research projects. The Senior Researcher is expected to establish and maintain subject-matter expertise by publishing in peer-reviewed journals and/or present at annual conferences and meetings. The Senior Researcher has the opportunity to teach (in French) in relevant departments, faculty or programs at the Universite de Moncton.
The position requires a PhD or equivalent in economics, public policy, or related field. Candidates should have strong quantitative skills and experience building and using micro-level databases. Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English. Candidates should be Canadian citizens or have the permanent residence status.
