The Department of Business and Economics, University of Southern Denmark in Odense, invites applications for one or more vacant (tenure track) positions as Assistant Professor in Economics or Business. The department welcomes applications in all areas of Economics and Business. Applicants should hold a PhD degree before taking up the position.

The department conducts research within Business (Accounting, Finance and Management Science) and Economics (Microeconomics, International Trade and Macroeconomics, Econometrics, and Economic Development). The department also hosts a center for Health Economics (www.cohere.dk) in collaboration with the Institute of Public Health at the University of Southern Denmark. It is the aim of the department to carry out research of high international standards documented through publications in internationally distinguished journals and through presentations at international conferences.

The department provides a supportive research environment and research facilities, travel support, etc. are generally very good and comparable to top European universities.

The successful applicants will be responsible for the teaching and supervision of BSc, MSc, and PhD students in Business Economics and Economics. Teaching loads are favorable. The working language at the department is English.

The tenure decision is typically made after 3-4 years.

Interviews will be conducted at the ASSA-AEA meetings in San Diego, January 2013.
