The Center for Research in International Economics (CREI), invites applications for research positions. Fields of interest include:
. Macroeconomics
. International Finance
. Monetary and Financial Economics
. Growth and Development
. Trade and Economic Geography
. Macroeconomic History
CREI is a research institute sponsored by the Government of Catalonia and Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) with the aim of promoting economic research subject to the highest standards. It is located in Barcelona, within the campus of UPF.
Current openings are both at senior and junior levels. Junior researchers are subject to an evaluation after six years. Though CREI's researchers have no teaching obligations as such, they are encouraged to participate actively in the UPF and Barcelona GSE academic programs. Terms of appointment are flexible and competitive.
Applicants must hold a PhD in Economics or be in the process of obtaining it. Applications including a curriculum vitae and a sample of recent work should be emailed to Anna Cano at crei.recruitment@crei.cat. Applicants should also arrange for two or more reference letters to be sent by either the placement officer/coordinator or referee.
The deadline for applications is November 30, 2012. We will be holding interviews with selected candidates at the ASSA Meetings in San Diego.
