The department of the University of Bern invites applications for a professorship in public economics (open rank) starting in January 2013. Candidates should have a strong research record, be able to lead a research unit and to acquire third-party funds. Specializations in any field of public economics are welcome. The successful candidate is expected to teach the core public economics courses at any level. Teaching can be done in English or German. The position could filled either on the level of an assistant professor with tenure track, an associate professor, or a full professor depending on qualifications. The gross salary is internationally competitive and subject to the regulations of the Canton of Bern. The University of Bern is an equal opportunity employer.
