This position is open to applicants who have completed their PhD. Preference will be given to candidates who have undertaken research in the field of energy economics and demonstrated an ability to apply economics and/or engineering science to energy related problems. The successful candidate will carry out research projects in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of researchers from within and outside the Energy Centre (http://www.business.auckland.ac.nz/energy). Priority tasks will be to publish research results in leading academic journals and disseminate findings through policy submissions, workshops and conferences. In addition Energy Centre Fellows are expected to contribute to the Centre's energy research and education goals, including: public dissemination of available research relevant to NZ energy priorities; organisation of seminars/workshops to stimulate debate and interest among students and faculty; developing links at other NZ and international institutes to stimulate interest in the study of NZ energy issues; outreach and engagement with the industry and government on energy policy issues.
