The Department of Economics, Econometrics & Finance is an active and international research group, consisting of approximately 50 people. Members are working both in fundamental theoretical research as well as in applied research.
Currently the department has one vacant post-doc position. We look for a researcher with a broad interest in the measurement of banking competition. The researcher will participate in a research projected funded by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research. The goal of this project is to develop improved measures for banking competition (first stage) and to use these measures for assessing the impact of banking competition on economic growth and financial stability (second stage). Preference will be given to candidates who have both theoretical and empirical knowledge about the assessment of competition. Candidates with expertise in the assessment of competition in non-banking sectors are also encouraged to apply.
