Virginia Military Institute's Department of Economics and Business invites applications for a fulltime tenure-track position beginning in August 2013. We seek candidates who can teach in more than one core area of economics or business in a curriculum that emphasizes analytical approaches to decision-making, with a global perspective. Applicants should complete a Ph.D. in economics prior to August 2013.
VMI is an AACSB-International accredited institution. We are a residential undergraduate program where teaching excellence is the first priority. The average class size is 20 students, and the standard teaching load is three sections, two preparations per semester. The successful candidate will have an active research agenda and a desire to join an interdisciplinary and collegial department.
