The Smith College Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor with an initial four-year appointment starting July 1, 2013. Candidates should have a strong foundation in empirical economic development or international trade, and in statistics. Expertise and field work in one of the developing areas of the world is highly desirable.Teaching will regularly include courses in the development/international area, Introduction to Statistics and Econometrics, and Introductory Microeconomics or Introductory Macroeconomics as appropriate.
