The Department of Economics, Econometrics & Finance is an active and international research group, consisting of approximately 50 people. Members are working both in fundamental theoretical research as well as in applied research. Currently the department has three vacant tenure track positions. The department offers a dynamic academic environment with excellent research facilities. Candidates have the ability to conduct high quality, original research and to publish in high-ranked international journals
Microeconomics (1 position). We seek a researcher with an interest and excellent research skills in the fields of microeconomics or applied industrial organization. Successful candidates actively contribute to research and teaching in these areas. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience in either conducting lab or field experiments and/or in analyzing empirical data-sets using modern microeconometric techniques.
Econometrics (2 positions). The candidates must have a broad and outstanding knowledge of econometrics and its applications to economic problems. Teaching will be in the fields of econometrics, statistics, and actuarial science. Successful candidates actively contribute to research and teaching in these areas. Considering the composition of the department, one of the candidates has specialized in time series econometrics.
We will interview at the ASSA meeting in San Diego (January 2013) and the RES job market in London (January 2013). Details of the positions is available from the webpage of the Department, see the link below.
