The Beacom School of Business at The University of South Dakota seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics beginning August 21, 2013.
Candidates must be academically qualified to teach a variety of undergraduate economics courses, including Principles, Managerial Economics, and upper-level courses in their field. We are interested in someone whose teaching interests will complement (rather than duplicate) the skills of the faculty in our department. Fields in Public, Game Theory, Industrial Organization, or Development are preferred.
Excellence in teaching is the primary requirement for this position (3 classes a semester, multiple preparations). Faculty occasionally teach classes at the Sioux Falls campus or online. In addition, faculty members have typical service requirements and moderate research expectations.
Candidates for position must have a Ph.D. in Economics, preferably before August 2013.
