Applications are invited for tenured, tenure track, and non-tenure track faculty positions beginning August 2013 in the Department of Economics at the University of Iowa.
We will consider candidates in all fields, but have a preference for the core areas of microeconomic theory, macroeconomic theory, and econometrics. A successful tenure-track candidate will be expected to develop a consistent record of positive classroom teaching in the undergraduate, MBA and/or doctoral programs and supervise doctoral research, to maintain a record of excellence in published scholarly research, and to take on leadership roles in the Department and College.

Senior candidates must have outstanding records of scholarly achievement. Junior candidates must demonstrate potential for outstanding records of scholarly achievement.
Candidates must be committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education with demonstrated evidence of a commitment to diversity in the educational community. Evidence of successful teaching experience is required. An earned Ph.D. in Economics or closely related field is required (junior candidates can be near completion).

We also invite applications for one or more non-tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Lecturer, Adjunct or Visiting Professor. Candidates must be committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education with demonstrated evidence of a commitment to diversity in the educational community. Evidence of successful experience teaching economics at the college or university level is required. An earned Ph.D. or ABD in Economics is strongly preferred; candidates with PhD's in statistics or mathematics may be considered.
