Penn State Worthington Scranton invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Business (tenure-track, 36 weeks) to begin August 2013. Responsibilities: Teach 9 credits each semester in B.S. in Business degree using traditional, hybrid and online delivery modes. Teaching responsibilities include microeconomics and macroeconomics, accounting, and related areas including business management and/or marketing. Develop and/or enhance a research agenda and publish in refereed journals. Various service activities also are expected. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Business with a strong background in economics and accounting preferred. Graduate degree in a related business field with a C.P.A. will be considered. Business/industry experience preferred. Research and publication expectation: minimum requirement is to develop a research agenda and publish in refereed journals; preferred is to enhance an already developed research agenda and publish in refereed journals. Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment is expected. Prior college-level and online teaching experience preferred. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important.
