Abt Associates is recruiting new and experienced PhD economists with strong quantitative research skills and knowledge of important domestic policy areas. The following divisions will be interviewing at the AEA conference, January 4-6, 2013:

The US Health Division helps shape healthcare policies that have benefited millions of Americans, while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of many government programs. Our work for such clients as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and National Institutes of Health, includes program evaluations, payment reform, and analysis of access to, quality of, and outcomes of healthcare services.

The Social and Economic Policy Division helps guide development of the nation's prominent policies and programs. Our contributions - at all government levels - have resulted in better programs on housing, community revitalization, education, workforce development, income security, food assistance, and in support of children, youth, and disadvantaged families. Our clients include the Departments of Housing and Urban Development, Education, Health and Human Services, Labor, Veterans Affairs, and the Food and Nutrition Service, among others.

The Environment and Resources Division helps federal and state environmental and resource management agencies address complex policy, management, and regulatory challenges. Our services include economic analysis, cost-benefit analysis, risk assessments, environmental modeling, regulatory and voluntary program support, and IT solutions. Our clients include the Environmental Protection Agency, Army Corps of Engineers, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the Department of Energy.
