The Department of Economics at the University of Toronto Mississauga invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the teaching stream. The appointment will be at the rank of Lecturer and will be effective July 1, 2013. Lecturers who have successfully reached their fifth year of service shall be reviewed and a recommendation made with respect to promotion to the rank of Senior Lecturer, which is a continuing appointment that includes sabbatical leaves. Success in promotion depends on achieving excellence in teaching and promise of continued professional development.

We seek an enthusiastic and innovative individual who is interested in establishing a long-term teaching career. The successful candidate will be expected to make a strong contribution to our undergraduate Economics program, and teach courses such as statistics, microeconomics, and possibly an upper-level course in one of the candidate's fields of research.

The candidate must have a demonstrated record of outstanding teaching and have earned a Ph.D. degree or equivalent by July 1, 2013 or soon thereafter. Salary is to be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
