The Department of Economics expects to make two tenure-track appointments at the assistant professor level beginning in academic year 2013-14. There is special interest in applicants whose research and teaching interests are drawn from the above listed fields. Other strong candidates in related fields are encouraged to apply.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent potential in research and teaching and must have the ability to teach at the masters and undergraduate level as well as large-section principles or introductory statistics. Completion of the Ph.D. by 16 August 2013 is required for an assistant professor appointment.
Full consideration for scheduling interviews at the ASSA meetings in San Diego will be given to applicants submitting the required letter of application, curriculum vitae, and sample research paper. Candidates must also arrange to have three reference letters sent.
