Auburn University's Department of Economics is seeking candidates for one (or more) tenure track position(s) at the Assistant Professor rank. The starting date is August 16, 2013. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
A successful applicant must demonstrate strong research potential and the ability to engage in high quality teaching. We are seeking candidates who will contribute to our graduate and undergraduate curriculum in Law and Economics or Economic History. The ability to work collaboratively with others in the department, and across the university, is desirable. The duties of this position include publishing research in peer-reviewed academic journals, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, and performing service for the department and the profession. A Ph.D. in economics must be completed prior to the start date.
All application materials must be received by November 30, 2012. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until all positions are filled. Representatives of the Department will be available at the upcoming AEA meeting in San Diego to interview potential candidates. Final appointments are contingent upon funding. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment; excellent communication skills required.
