The School of Government invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level that will specialize in development finance. Candidates for the position should possess a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning, Public Policy, Public Administration, or a closely related field.

Responsibilities include teaching, conducting applied research, and advising public officials about the critical issues and fiscal impact of decisions relating to financing and supporting growth and development in North Carolina. Practical knowledge of the mechanics of public financing of infrastructure, private real estate development at the project level, and economic/fiscal impact analysis of growth decisions is preferred.

This faculty member will have the opportunity to work closely with the School's Development Finance Initiative (DFI) (http://www.sog.unc.edu/node/220), which partners with local governments in North Carolina to attract private investment for transformative projects by providing specialized finance and development expertise.

Candidates for the position should possess a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning, Public Policy, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
