Tenure track opening at assistant professor level beginning Fall 2013. Ph.D. preferred or A.B.D. with Ph.D. completion within first year acceptable. The hire will have joint appointment in the School of Business & Economics and the Central Wisconsin Economic Research Bureau. Position responsibilities are split between teaching principles and upper level courses in candidate's field, and serving as CWERB Coordinator. As Coordinator the candidate will help the Chief Economist expand the regional development efforts of the CWERB. Although a teaching-oriented department, scholarly activity, professional growth, and university service are required.
Candidates should have a specialty in regional economics, urban economics, transportation economics, economic forecasting, or other relevant field. Strong candidates will have experience with economic report writing and interacting with the business community and media, and a demonstrated ability to teach.
