Full Text of JOE Listing:
The University of Connecticut School of Law solicits applications for four tenured or tenure-track faculty positions to commence in fall 2013. We are interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Health Care Finance & Regulation; Employee Benefits and Retirement Security; and Regulation of Complex Financial Instruments. There is also an opening for a joint appointment with the Department of Public Policy for someone with an interest in State and Local Public Finance. Minimum Qualifications: JD from an accredited institution or equivalent terminal degree in a related field; superior academic record; demonstrated capacity for serious and sustained scholarly work; evidence of capacity and desire to produce scholarship commensurate with, or leading to, a tenured position; well-developed research and teaching agendas; strong teaching and oral communication skills, and a commitment to teaching substantive law.

Preferred Qualifications: Law practice experience; policy experience; experience in teaching law or related subjects; completion of one or more works of scholarship that demonstrate intellectual depth and facility with written expression.

Equivalent foreign degrees are acceptable. Salary will be commensurate with background, qualifications, and experience.
