We seek a tenure-track assistant professor in development economics. This position will be joint with the International Studies program, involving 50% teaching responsibilities in Economics and 50% in International Studies (IS). Tenure would be in the Economics department. Research responsibilities will include conducting and publishing research in development economics. Teaching responsibilities in Economics and IS will be at the undergraduate and graduate level. This joint hire in development economics should have a positive impact on the broader social science study of development issues at Ohio State and will help the IS program attain its goal of offering professional masters degrees.
Candidates should have or be nearing completion of a PhD before employment, and a research, teaching and service record commensurate with rank.
