We invite applications from experienced economists and financial economists. We are looking to staff as many as three positions and are particularly interested in candidates with research interests in the areas of financial markets and institutions, macro-finance, applied industrial organization, applied labor economics, and macroeconomics and/or monetary economics.
We invite applications from candidates who have successfully completed a Ph.D. and have at least three years of post-Ph.D. academic or other professional experience. We are seeking candidates with a demonstrated ability to produce outstanding research on interesting, policy-relevant questions. These are research appointments and at all ranks research output as measured by publications in professional journals plays a central role in our incentive system. In addition all staff will be expected to contribute to the policy-making process at the bank and in the Federal Reserve System more generally. We value colleagues who create synergies with our staff and foster a collegial work environment. Salary, benefits and research support are competitive.
