Sveriges Riksbank is the central bank of Sweden.
The Research Division intends to fill two vacancies for a senior or junior research economist, as of 2013, with expertise in doing research on macrofinance, macro- or monetary economics. People applying for a senior position should have a solid research background in their field. People applying for a junior position need to have obtained a PhD, or be close to doing so.
Candidates are expected to produce high-quality research for publication in peer-reviewed journals and to provide support, mainly to the monetary policy department and possibly to the financial stability department. An ability to communicate and present complex issues effectively and to policy-makers is very important. The distribution between research and policy work is 80/20.
The working languages are English and Swedish. Proficiency in Swedish is not required.
