Quantitative Researcher, Monetization
Facebook is seeking exceptional PhD-level graduates in the quantitative social sciences for analytical roles in support of its advertising business and products. Analysts develop expertise in Big Data analysis and of Facebook's advertising operations and products to provide recommendations fueled by detailed analysis and thoughtful modeling of future scenarios. They work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering and Business teams and help shape the future of Facebook. Ideal candidates combine intellectual curiosity and analytical abilities with strong time management and communication skills and a passion for Facebook. This is a full-time position in our Menlo Park, CA office.
Responsibilities include:
Partner with the engineering organization to provide analytics in support of new or enhanced products and recommend product or positioning changes
Develop sophisticated models of business elements with actionable predictions
Analyze current business performance and identify levers for improvement
Requirements:
Substantial technical data experience (STATA, SAS, R, etc.); SQL preferred
Experience with large, complex data sets
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and communicate technical content to general audiences
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and work in a cross functional environment
Familiarity with advertising, marketing or auction dynamics via work experience or research a big plus
